La scomparsa di alcuni cani nel piccolo comune di Raviscanina, in provincia di Caserta, la scorsa estate, si è trasformata in una tragedia ben più macabra di quanto inizialmente ipotizzato. Quella che sembrava essere una semplice sparizione di animali è diventata un caso di violenza estrema. I corpi di tre dei cani scomparsi sono stati infatti ritrovati senza vita nella vasca di raccolta delle acque del cleaner municipal, after being brutally beaten and killed.
The horror emerged following an appeal for the missing animals, which, however, was followed by an eerie silence. “The person or persons responsible for this vile, brutal and insane act have not yet been brought to justice”, declared Francesco Emilio Borrelli, a member of the Green-Side Alliance, who responded to the appeal of some residents of the area. “Whoever is capable of such atrocities, who knows what else they could do. This story cannot be forgotten.”
The discovery of the bodies, thrown in such an unsuspecting place, has raised a wave of indignation among the local community and beyond. The inhabitants of Raviscanina are deeply shocked by the barbaric murder of the animals, demanding justice and that all necessary steps be taken to identify those responsible. Local authorities have launched investigations to try to shed light on what happened, but at the moment the culprits are still unknown.

The situation of Raviscanina is very serious and makes you think about how animals are treated in this society. I hope that the authorities do everything possible to find out who did these horrendous things. It is unacceptable.
