The community of Casoria is shocked and united in grief over the tragic loss of Santo Romano, the 19-year-old victim of a brutal attack in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio. Faced with such a vile and senseless act, the municipal administration has decided not to remain indifferent.
Mayor Raffaele Bene announced that the Municipality will join the civil action in the trial against those responsible for the murder. “We want full light to be shed on this terrible episode and for the guilty to pay for what they have done”, declared the mayor.
"Holy he was a good boy, full of life and plans for the future. His death is a deep wound for our entire community, but we will not give up. We will fight to the end to obtain justice and to honor his memory”.
With this decision, the Municipal Administration intends not only to support Santo's family in this moment of great suffering, but also to send a clear and strong message against all forms of violence.
It is necessary that justice take its course and that episodes like these do not go unpunished. Santo Romano’s death is a warning to all of us: we must commit ourselves to building a more just and safer society, where young people can grow and fulfill themselves without fear.”
