Castellammare. A few days before the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Carabinieri of the mobile radio section of Castellammare di Stabia arrested a 54-year-old man, already known to the authorities.
The man, who was supposed to be complying with a court order that prohibited him from approaching his ex-wife, instead showed up at her house in the evening. He started a dispute demanding the return of some of her personal belongings.
La ex wife, scared, was unable to call 112. It was her twenty-one-year-old daughter, a witness to the scene, who contacted the police.
The carabinieri intervened quickly, arresting the man and placing him under house arrest, pending trial. The woman reported only a great fright.
