Arena Salvatore, the boss of the hill area, was released from prison following the acceptance of the request of his lawyers Immacolata Romano and Giuseppe Milazzo who have been assisting him since the first degree. The doors of the prison of Syracuse have opened for the forty-three year old, a well-known face of the Vomero underworld, detained for more than two years.
In October 2021, the Neapolitan DDA executed a precautionary custody order in prison against 53 people (including Pellecchia Salvatore, Basile Andrea and Caruson Giovanni) dismantling the Camorra group led by Cimmino Luigi, who later became a collaborator of justice, in addition to putting entrepreneurs and employees on trial for the awarding of contracts in hospitals in the hilly area.
For the boss, who was accused of being the leader and organizer specialized in delivering extortion requests in the name and on behalf of the clan, then dividing the large sums collected among the affiliates, the Public Prosecutor requested a sentence of 15 years, but the defense obtained the much more lenient sentence of 10 years and 10 months.
The second degree trial is now underway, before the first section of the Court of Appeal of Naples – President Giovanni Carbone, and the hearing of the defense of Arena Salvatore, who is under house arrest from today, is scheduled for March 27.

Arena Salvatore's situation is complicated, but in my opinion justice must take its course. There are many issues to consider, such as evidence and testimony, before reaching a conclusion.
