The Marsicano clan of Pianura had planned to kill the father of Patrizio Cuffaro, known as "Cantinato," a member of the rival Carillo clan, out of revenge for having acted as chauffeur for the hitman who had wounded their member Antonio Gaetano, known as Biscotto. On that occasion, the man survived.
But a year later Anthony Gaetano he was instead killed in Mergellina, a short distance from the place where the innocent pizza chef Francesco Pio Maimone had been killed a few days earlier. This is what emerges from the approximately 200 pages of the precautionary order drawn up by the investigating judge Rosaria Maria Aufieri of the Naples court, thanks to which 14 members of the baby boss's clan (already detained) were arrested yesterday Emanuel Marsicano Besides Patrick Cuffaro.
It was just after 21pm August 24, 2022 when an (unidentified) interlocutor calls Francesco Marfella cousin of the boss Marsicano and warns that there has been an ambush on their affiliate Antonio Gaetano.
“They shot Biscotto… five shots… do you understand, Marfe?”. Oh… they shot Biscotto, five shots, he's in the hospital, do you understand Marfella? Oh. Martella,
Marfella, (whispering) oh…oh, partner, Biscottino was shot, hit five times, he's in hospital."
A few hours later Marfella was intercepted again while he was on a scooter together with L.uke the Baptist and they meet a person they trust who tells them that he saw the ambush in which “Biscotto” was injured

uhm… and who is behind the scale? He’s an old man… he’s not that old, yeah…”

At that point, Francesco Marfella's mind immediately starts to think of revenge: “boys, do we want to go shoot in the basement?” And the interlocutor warns him “now? And he’s not there”. And Marfella replies: “If we don’t find him, we’ll start throwing the father to the ground or the mother’s thighs, the amma stutà and counters!”.
Antonio Gaetano, after being treated in hospital, refused to be admitted once he returned home, she was reassured that she would be avenged: “Friend, we’re getting organized. Don’t worry and don’t worry: we’ll take the satisfaction away from you, brother.”
Francesco Marfella and Luca Battista also questioned the motive for the ambush on Biscotto, coming to the conclusion that Patrizio Cuffaro had a score to settle with Antonio Gaetano. The latter, in fact, had kicked Scantinato's father in the chest. According to them, this was precisely why Cuffaro had acted with his face uncovered, a detail noted by Marfella.
