The last course for Sports Directors organized by the Technical Sector concluded in Coverciano, the beating heart of Italian football. A very high-level training experience, which saw 46 students involved in 144 hours of lessons, 120 of which in person, divided between two areas: one technical-sports, to train the "field" sports director, and one sports-organizational, aimed at training secretaries, key figures in the back-office.

Among the participants, there are well-known names in the football scene, such as Gokhan Inler, head of the technical area of Udinese, and Alessio Scarchilli, former midfielder of Roma and Torino. A path that is not limited to numbers, but stands out for the quality of the lessons and the intense exchange of ideas between students and speakers.

The program covered all the fundamental disciplines for those who aspire to a career in the world of football management. Technique, tactics, training methodology, psychology and communication were the focus of the lessons, held by teachers from the Technical Sector and by special guests.

Among them, leading figures in national and international football shared their experiences. Gianluigi Buffon, current head of delegation of the National Team, spoke about his journey as a leader on the field. Rafa Benitez, a coach with a career that spans from Liverpool to Real Madrid, offered valuable tactical and managerial analysis. Piero Ausilio (Inter) and Cristiano Giuntoli (Juventus), protagonists of the Italian football market, also offered a strategic vision of their role.

A particularly touching intervention was that of the Olympic walking champion, Alex Schwazer. Introduced by psychology professor Elena Di Chiara, Schwazer addressed the topic of depression, too often ignored in the world of top-level sports. His story was an example of resilience and a warning about the importance of psychological well-being for the athletes and managers of the future.

Coordinated by Filippo Fusco, the course represented a unique opportunity for aspiring Sports Directors to learn from the best, immersing themselves in an environment that embodies the excellence of Italian football. "Coverciano is not just a place of training, but a true home for football," some students commented. The next step? Putting into practice what has been learned, bringing quality and innovation to Italian clubs and beyond.
