A meeting of cultures at the David di Donatello with Etnoragù

Cristiano Esposito's short film "Etnoragù" is in the running for the David di Donatello Awards, depicting an intriguing encounter between different cultures. After garnering success in London, Rome, and New York, the film is poised to become an example of cultural and traditional intertwining.

A Campania production

Produced by the Ar.Tu.Ro Cooperative and filmed in Naples and Procida, "Etnoragù" premiered at the "La Perla" Cinema in Naples. The production was made possible thanks to the support of the Campania Region, the Campania Region Film Commission, and various other local organizations. The screening was attended by the cast and critic Giuseppe Borrone.

Plot and themes of the short film

"Etnoragù" narrates the culinary and cultural events linked to a famous Neapolitan dish, exploring the encounter between Naples and Palestine.

Soundtrack and technical team

The soundtrack for "Etnoragù" was composed by Maestro Mario Fasciano. The technical team includes Francesco La Muro (photography), Alessandro Massa (soundtrack), and Nadir Kamberi (editing). The cast also includes Alessandro Incerto, Mauro Palumbo, and Tommaso Scotto di Uccio.

The short film etnoragù was very interesting but I don't understand the plot well. The different cultures are well represented, but there are moments that are not clear. The music is beautiful, but sometimes it covers the words. I hope the film can be successful at the David di Donatello.
