The Herculaneum Archaeological Park is launching a new educational initiative, primarily aimed at schools, for the 2024-2025 academic year. This program was developed in collaboration with Coopculture and is designed to promote understanding of the historical and cultural features of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997.
### Educational Programs and Inclusive Services
Educational programs introduce a variety of activities, including soft skills courses and a video game called "Lost in Herculaneum." There are new apps for children and community workshops in collaboration with the Variabile K association. The initiative takes special needs visitors into consideration, offering access to children with autism, visually impaired visitors, blind visitors, and those with motor disabilities. The park's website has also been updated to ensure more inclusive access, making navigation easier for users with visual and cognitive disabilities.
### Event "Herculaneum of the Peoples"
The next event under the "Ercolano dei Popoli" program will be held on November 24, on the occasion of the International Day of Children's Rights.
