A joint operation by Carabinieri from the Castelnuovo Cilento and Acquavella stations resulted in the execution of a mandatory police report order against two men, aged 58 and 52, residents of Acquavella. The order, issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Vallo della Lucania at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, arose from an investigation involving the two suspects on charges of receiving stolen goods and extortion.

The investigation was launched after a local businessman reported the theft of two mechanical grabs, essential equipment for his business. The investigation, the Prosecutor's Office explains in a statement, has led to the collection of evidence. serious indications of guilt: the two men allegedly contacted the entrepreneur, asking for a sum of money in exchange for the return of the stolen equipment.

The operation represents a severe blow to the phenomenon of petty crime linked to the theft and receiving of work materials in the Cilento area, a problem that severely affects local businesses. Investigations are continuing to ascertain any further responsibilities or complicities.

It is interesting how the investigations were done and that the carabinieri found evidence against the two men, but I hope that there are no other people involved in this ugly situation of theft and extortion. Businesses need security.

The carabinieri operation seems very important, but I don't know if the two men are really guilty. We need solid evidence before judging. Let's hope that justice takes its course and that local companies can recover the stolen equipment.
