Despite house arrest, he escaped a few hours after the precautionary measure to commit three more serial thefts. His plan was foiled by the Carabinieri who caught him while he was trying to burgle a photography studio.

Surveillance cameras confirmed his involvement in all the robberies. The man was arrested and is now in prison in Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi. A 40-year-old man from Lioni, tired of the monotony of house arrest, decided to spice up his day with a series of thefts.

"I couldn't sit still anymore. I was bored at home," the man reportedly confessed to investigators. Just hours after being arrested for a photography studio robbery, the man broke the rules and embarked on a veritable treasure hunt.

After robbing the photography studio, stealing around €200 from the cash register, the inveterate thief didn't stop there. He targeted a car, a building materials store, and a bar, making off with cash, tools, and anything else he could sell.

But his escape was short-lived. Thanks to the clear images from the surveillance cameras, the carabinieri were able to identify him with certainty. The investigators followed his tracks step by step. It almost seemed like he wanted to get caught.

When the police tracked him down, he was trying to return home, perhaps to retrieve some personal belongings. His actions left everyone stunned. "A real paradox," commented a neighbor. "First he leaves the house to steal and then returns as if nothing had happened.
