Naples. Fear in the night at Vome due to the explosion of a car that had been engulfed in flames in via San Gennaro ad Antignano. Residents were awakened by a loud explosion in the middle of the night and, frightened, bombarded the switchboards of the police and fire departments with phone calls.
The flames and explosion also affected two other cars that were partially destroyed. "We were woken up in the middle of the night by a very loud explosion, it sounded like a bomb," said a resident.
According to what they later reported to the police: "Someone set fire to the garbage cans, from there the fire broke out and engulfed the cars. The flames reached the first floor of the building and even melted the shutters of two windows".
“We ask that those responsible for this madness, which could have ended in tragedy, be immediately tracked down. Only luck prevented anyone from getting hurt. Unfortunately, the area has been abandoned for some time, without controls and without security.
Often at night you find kids making a racket, throwing objects, exploding firecrackers and vandalizing whatever they find. At the very least, we need to install surveillance cameras to monitor the area. Too many people think they can go out into the streets and do whatever they want with impunity, but that's not the case.
Anyone who commits such serious acts represents a danger to everyone and must be brought to justice." This is what was declared by the deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli and Rino Nasti, councilor of the Municipality V for Europa Verde.

It is really scary to read about such events, I hope that those responsible will be identified and punished as soon as possible to ensure the safety of the area.
How scary, we really hope that those responsible are identified and that measures are taken to prevent similar situations from happening again.
