The Madrid Italian Film Festival is preparing to celebrate its 17th edition, with a rich program running from November 27th to December 4th. The event offers Spanish audiences a unique opportunity to see a selection of the best short films, documentaries, and feature films of contemporary Italian cinema. Screenings will be held at the MK2 Cine Paz theater, with free admission for all viewers.
Lifetime Achievement Award and Opening of the Festival
This year, the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to Sonia BergamascoThe celebration will also feature the premiere of the documentary "Duse - The Greatest," which marks Bergamasco's directorial debut and will open the festival's program.

Among the scheduled events, the "Cinema in Istituto" section will feature a screening of the documentary "Posso Ingresso? An Ode to Naples" by Trudie Styler, paying homage to the city of Naples. The festival will also honor the legendary Marcello Mastroianni with screenings of the films "Il Bell'Antonio," "La Notte," and "Divorce Italian Style."
Activities for the little ones
On Saturday, November 30, the Giffoni Cine Lab will organize a workshop for children, offering a creative learning opportunity within the festival context. The films presented during the festival will be previewed for Spanish audiences and will be screened in their original language with Spanish subtitles. This event represents a cultural bridge between Italy and Spain, promoting the richness of Italian cinema on the international scene.

The Italian film festival in Madrid is very interesting, but I hope there are more famous films. The screening of films with Spanish subtitles is a good idea, so that more people can understand them. I would also like to see some famous actors present during the event. Nice initiative for children with the workshop, I hope it is fun!
