Yesterday morning, the State Police carried out the provisional arrest for the purpose of surrender of a 45-year-old man, the subject of a European arrest warrant issued by Spain for computer fraud.
In particular, during an escort service on the Intercity train along the Naples-Vibo Marina route, personnel from the Campania Railway Police Department, engaged in targeted checks to prevent and suppress crimes on trains, identified the man near the Salerno station and discovered that the requested measure was pending against him.
After the usual formalities, at the direction of the public prosecutor at the Salerno Public Prosecutor's Office, the individual was transferred to the Salerno prison.
During the day, officers carried out checks on 1134 people at railway stations in Campania, including 180 with criminal records.
