The preliminary hearing judge of the Cassino Court acquitted BC, a 61-year-old police officer, on the grounds that the crime was not committed. The requests of his defense attorneys, Raffaele and Gaetano Crisileo, and Gaetano Petrone, were granted.
BC was charged with sexual assault aggravated by employment. The charge stemmed from a complaint from a woman who worked as a maid at the police officer's home.
The woman claimed she had been abused, declaring that the man had made her drink water mixed with a liquid that caused her to lose consciousness, followed by sexual assault.
