A new episode of violence has shocked the community of Giugliano. A 13-year-old boy was stabbed in broad daylight in Piazza Gramsci, the heart of the city. The circumstances of the attack, still unclear, are unbelievable: an argument over a ball escalated into a tragedy.
The alarm was raised by Don Angelo Parisi, dean of the local parish priests, who does not hide his concern: "Giugliano It's a city abandoned to itself. Our children no longer have safe spaces where they can grow and relax. This tragedy is yet another demonstration of the profound unease that is spreading among young people."

We need to invest in prevention and social rehabilitation projects, create meeting places, and promote activities that keep young people off the streets."
Father Parisi emphasizes the importance of improving public lighting, often lacking in many areas of the city, and of increasing the presence of law enforcement. "Our children need to feel protected and have points of reference," the priest concludes, appealing to institutions and civil society.

It is really sad to see what is happening in our city. We hope that the institutions can do something as soon as possible to protect our children.
