The exhibition was inaugurated today, Monday 18 November 2024, at the MIMIT (Ministry of Business and Made in Italy), “Italy of Patents - Successful Inventions and Innovations”, an event dedicated to celebrating Italian ingenuity and excellence in the field of industrial innovation. The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Central State Archives, will open to the public from November 23, 2024 to March 2, 2025.
The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the role of patents as a fundamental tool for translating ideas into concrete projects that have revolutionized production sectors and aspects of daily life, bringing Italy to the forefront in various fields. With over 100 patents, the exhibition tells how Italian inventions have influenced industry and society on a global level.
Among the excellences presented, the following stands out: MIFE Flight Demonstrator, developed by the company ALI Spa of the Space Factory Group, in collaboration with the Italian Aerospace Research Centre (CIRA) and the University of Napoli - Department of Industrial Engineering.

MIFE, successfully launched in November 2022, was the first suborbital mission to demonstrate innovative systems for the reentry and recovery of satellites from space. The underlying technology, called IRENE, will be used in the mission IREOS 0, scheduled for 2025. The latter will mark the beginning of the program IRENESAT-ORBITAL, focused on microsatellites with autonomous and controlled reentry, recovery and reuse capabilities.
With IREOS 0, Italy is preparing to launch the first commercial service for biopharma experiments in orbit, consolidating its role as a leader in the field of innovative systems for reentry from space. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to discover Italy's contribution to global innovation, highlighting how the combination of research, industry and creativity continues to generate successes of international relevance.

It is a nice exhibition on patents but I don't know if everyone can go. I hope there is more information on how to participate. MIMIT is an important place and deserves to be visited by more people. I would also like to know if there are any side events for young people interested in these technologies.
