Castellammare. An 18-year-old man died overnight in a car accident on the Sorrento highway near the Bikini beach resort. He is sadly the second road fatality, following the 36-year-old who died last night in Nola.
The victim was called Simeon Dimitrov, born in Bulgaria on 14.08.2006 and resident in Castellammare di Stabia in via San Bartolomeo. The young man was traveling on a motorcycle in the company of a 17-year-old friend. They were returning from an evening spent together on the Sorrento peninsula.
Perhaps too much speed caused the loss of control of the motorbike which crashed into the parapet wall. Unfortunately the 18 year old died instantly while the girl who was with him was transferred by ambulance to the Ospedale del Mare in Naples where she is hospitalized in danger of life.

The Carabinieri are trying to establish the exact dynamics of theaccident both by listening to some witnesses and by analyzing the images from the cameras present on site.
