San Sebastiano al Vesuvio Killer Identified: Hunt for 17-Year-Old

Naples. The gunman who killed 19-year-old soccer player Santo Romano di Volla last night during a fight between teenagers has already been identified. According to reports, the shooter may have been a young man, likely a 17-year-old from the eastern suburbs of Naples, who fled in a car.

The violent argument that degenerated was apparently based on trivial reasons. Another 19-year-old, a friend of the victim, was also injured in the elbow in the shooting: his name is Salvatore Spagnoli.

The Carabinieri of the operational section of the Torre del Greco company are working on what happened last night. The military have identified the alleged perpetrator by analyzing the images of the public and private cameras that are in the area, namely in Pèiazza Capasso in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio and along the escape route.

The victim was the goalkeeper of the ASD Micri football team which plays in the Serie A championship. Excellence.

A resident, observing City Hall from afar, comments: "It happens everywhere, we feel sorry for the families. Before Covid, it was quieter here."

Among the businesses still open, some expressed surprise, admitting they knew nothing and commented: "It's a bit like the Wild West; it wasn't like this before." Another business owner added: "Lots of young people gather here; we don't know what they're doing. A tragedy like this couldn't have been predicted. San Sebastiano shouldn't be associated with murders."

In the park on Via Belvedere, among the rides and cafés, several families are strolling with their children. A couple from a nearby village, informed by journalists of the incident, reflects: "The values ​​are gone. Parents should do their part, we need more control, but the problem affects all of Italy, not just San Sebastiano al Vesuvio." Among the porticoes and shops, there are also those who prefer not to comment or claim to know nothing.
