Donnarumma Interview: “I Dream of the Champions League with PSG. Scudetto? Napoli Are Favorites”

Donnarumma Interview – Gianluigi Donnarumma, goalkeeper of Paris Saint-Germain, is living a happy and peaceful period in Paris, a city where he finally feels “settled”. In an interview with SportMediaset, the goalkeeper shared some aspects of his personal and professional life, starting from a special moment: “It’s a very beautiful time for me, with the birth of my first child. I’m enjoying every moment.”

Turning his attention to the Champions League, Donnarumma explained how difficult it is to win the trophy par excellence of European football. “Every year there are strong and organised teams; it is never easy to win the Champions League. You need skill, but also a bit of luck: when you get to the quarter-finals or semi-finals, it is always 50-50”. Donnarumma underlined the importance of the group: "To the we have a very strong team. When I arrived there were Messi, Mbappé and Neymar, but I think what really matters is the team spirit. This year we are a young group and we need to gain experience. Regarding the pressure and criticism he receives, Donnarumma responded with the calm and maturity of someone who knows how to handle media attention: "I am very self-critical and I always analyze my performances. Lately, since I left Italy, I have been particularly targeted by criticism, but I have learned to handle it. Now I have broad shoulders."

Speaking about new Italian talents, Donnarumma had words of encouragement for Francesco Camarda, a young Milan talent: "I met him this year and I was struck by his humility. It's important that he keeps his feet on the ground. He has great potential and I'm sure he can go far."

On the dream of winning important titles, Donnarumma does not hide his ambition to win everything, including the Champions League and other trophies with the national team: "For me it is important to win as a team. Personal goals come later. One day I would like to win the Champions League and, for the Italians, it would be incredible to bring home another title with the national team."

He is a friend of mine, he is making history and I am sure that he will reach this goal too."
