CASERTA – A twenty-year-old man was injured while trying to stop a burglar who had attempted to break into his home, located behind Palazzo Castropignano, the seat of Caserta's City Hall in Piazza Vanvitelli. His fall from the second floor, which occurred during a frantic chase, created a loud noise that attracted the attention of neighbors, who immediately alerted emergency services.
According to the boy's story, he surprised the criminal as he was trying to escape from the apartment and decided to chase him to prevent him from escaping.

An ambulance from 118 arrived quickly and transported the boy to the hospital in Caserta, where he underwent further tests to rule out any internal injuries. Doctors described his condition as “lucky,” given the circumstances of the accident.
