Marcianise. A serious incident occurred along the state road that connects Marcianise to Maddaloni, a few minutes after 3 in the morning. An ambulance was hit by a brick thrown by an unidentified person.
The impact created a hole in the windshield, exactly in correspondence with the position of the driver, who was grazed by a few millimeters. The ambulance, returning to the station, stopped in the town center to check the damage.
The health workers involved expressed shock and indignation, commenting on the incident on their social media page Nobody Touches Hippocrates:
“118 Caserta, November 16, Marcianise area around 4:00. While returning to the station, an unknown person, walking along the road, threw a brick at the windshield of the ambulance.”

One of the operators' comments highlights the seriousness of the gesture:
“We emphasize that this person is still around! We operate on an isolated road, frequented by trucks for the transport of goods, with the constant risk of skidding.
This action could have hit the driver in full, grazing him by a few millimeters. The hole caused by the brick is located right in front of his position. We can only consider it an attempted murder. We hope that the surveillance cameras in the area will be examined thoroughly and that the person responsible will be arrested.”
The episode deeply shocked the community of 118 operators, already constantly exposed to dangerous situations.

How scary, let's hope that the person responsible is found as soon as possible and that situations like this don't happen again.
