The Coast Guard of Castellammare di Stabia and the Naval Station of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples carried out a major seizure operation in Vico Equense.
By order of the Preliminary Investigations Judge of Torre Annunziata, two illegal structures built on the reef of the breakwater of the port of Seiano have been seized.
Illegal occupation and building violations
The investigations, conducted with the assistance of a technical consultant, confirmed that the two structures, managed respectively by Palazzo Murrano srl and Hotel Mary srl, were illegally occupying over 1.500 square meters of public maritime property.
The buildings, stable and permanent, had been built in violation of building and landscape regulations, in particular the Municipal Urban Plan of Vico Equense, which prohibits any type of construction in that area.
Impressive and well-equipped structures
The seized structures were of considerable size and well equipped:
Palazzo Murrano srl: a beach establishment with solarium, gazebo, bar, restaurant and toilets, completely anchored to the cliff.
