Today, Monday 25 November, Italy appears divided: clear skies over the Adriatic areas, the South and Sicily, while low clouds and gloomy weather characterize the Tyrrhenian areas and the North, especially the Po Valley. Here, humid currents from the south favor the formation of low clouds, however, without significant phenomena. Temperatures in the Center-South and on the Islands record a slight increase, while in the North they remain contained, often below 10-11 ° C. Light rain possible only in Liguria.
The storm is coming
The weather picture will worsen from Tuesday 26, meteorologists explain. In fact, on Tuesday a moderate, albeit weak, disturbance is expected, capable of bringing irregular and low intensity rains to the North. Temperatures will not drop significantly thanks to the humid ocean currents, with variable weather until Thursday, November 28. The South and Sicily will remain, for the most part, protected by high pressure, while Liguria, Tuscany, the North-East, Lazio and Campania will be exposed to clouds and local rains. There will be no shortage of fog in the Po Valley.
The cold air intake
From Friday, November 29, we can observe the entry of a very cold air of polar origin that, coming down from Russia, will partially influence Italy, in particular the Adriatic and southern regions. The effects will manifest themselves with clouds, rain and snowfall at low altitudes in these areas. A significant drop in temperatures is also expected, with temperatures below the seasonal averages.
