Milan, 22 November 2024 – The Milan Music Week 2024 di Assomusica. In a week that saw the participation of thousands of music enthusiasts and professionals, the Association played a leading role, holding three panels that sparked debate on key issues for the future of live entertainment in Italy.

The week of Assomusica opened on Thursday, November 21st: among the most discussed topics of the first meeting was the need to promote bureaucratic simplifications that facilitate the realization of live events. The discussion was attended by Paul DeBiasi, Deputy President of Assomusica, Tommaso Sacchi, Councillor for Culture of the Municipality of Milan, and the members of the VII Commission for Culture, Science and Education of the House of Representatives, including the Hon. Federico Mollicone and the Hon. Matthew Orfini.
The second debate instead explored the strategic role of live shows as a driving force for cultural tourism, not only in large cities but also in the villages of Italy. Speakers included Dr. Alexander Leon (President Cles Srl), the Hon. Gianluca Caramanna (10th Commission of the Chamber of Deputies), the Hon. Manlius Messina (VII Commission of the Chamber of Deputies), the Hon. Matteo ricci (MEP) and Dr. Constantine Ciulla (Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Agrigento Italian Capital of Culture 2025).
The third and final panel finally discussed the potential of live music as a fundamental component of Made in Italy and the need to fill the regulatory gap to compete on international markets. Among the speakers were those of Federico Rasetti (KeepOn Live Director and Co-president Live DMA), Vincenzo Bellini (Assomusica Councillor), the Hon. Pierfrancesco Maran (MEP) and Dr. James Vineyard (Directorate-General for Industrial Policy).
