Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi announced a plan to address Naples's ongoing crime, particularly youth and nighttime crime, which has brought the city back to the forefront of national crime news in the past month.
"Reinforcements will arrive to address the most acute problems recorded recently. There will be increased checks, especially during the most dangerous hours and in the most sensitive areas of Naples."
He said this yesterday evening while speaking in San Lorenzello in the province of Benevento, where he laid a laurel wreath on the plaque commemorating the Sannio police officer Antonio Cestari, murdered by the Red Brigades in Milan on 8 January 1980.
"The synergy between institutions and schools is also important."
The Spanish Minister Matteo Piantedosi has explained "We're trying to develop additional efforts for what could be prevention activities developed by law enforcement, but the problem also involves significant cultural and educational aspects, and for this reason, synergy between institutions remains essential, as is the contribution of schools."
