Naples. The 65-year-old woman who was seriously burned in the fire that broke out in the small church of Santa Sofia in Anacapri on October 14th has died.
The MV woman, born in 1959, had suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns to her lower and upper limbs and was then transported to the Cardarelli burns center.
Sadly, last night, a month after the fire, the woman died from her injuries. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire and any liability.
The fire was most likely caused by the explosion of a gas cylinder which mainly affected a recreation room and a room located behind the entrance to the church, which the parish priest had made available to the couple in financial difficulty and who had been evicted from their previous accommodation.
