Naples. Piazza Bisignano and Piazza De Franchis, along with Via Mastellone and Via Ciccarelli in Barra, were the focus of intense control activity by the State Police. The officers, engaged in an extraordinary service, identified numerous individuals, checked vehicles and put an end to a drug deal in flagrante delicto.
The operation, aimed at combating crime in the neighborhood, ended with two arrests and several administrative sanctions. A 54-year-old Neapolitan woman was arrested for illegal possession of narcotics and a 57-year-old Neapolitan man was arrested in execution of a measure determining concurrent sentences.
In particular, during the control activity, aimed at countering the phenomena of illegal possession of weapons and drug trafficking, the officers of the San Giovanni Police Station-Barra, with the collaboration of the Campania Crime Prevention Department, identified a total of 123 people, of which 40 with a police record and 2 subjected to restrictive measures, checked 67 vehicles and contested a violation of the highway code for failure to have a periodic inspection.
Again, in via Ciccarelli, the operators noticed a woman who was handing over something to a person in exchange for money and, therefore, they stopped them, finding in the lady's hands the money she had just received and seven packages of crack, while the man was found in possession of the dose he had just purchased.
For these reasons, the woman was arrested, while the buyer was administratively sanctioned for illicit possession of narcotics for personal use. Finally, in the same street, the police tracked down the 57-year-old Neapolitan recipient of the above-mentioned provision issued last November 18 by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Naples - Criminal Enforcement Office - according to which, he will have to serve a sentence of four years and two months in prison for mistreatment in the family and evasion, crimes committed in 2017 in Naples.
