Naples, 11 November 2024 – The first Milanese branch of the Milanese branch of the Milanese branch will officially open on Wednesday 13 November in Naples, in via Enrico Alvino 129. Gialli.it, founded in 2009 by Ciro Sabatino, director of the Festival del Giallo Città di Napoli, and the journalist Anita Curci, was born as a web magazine and then transformed into a multidisciplinary association that, in addition to the festival, manages a Club del Giallo, a paper periodical, a publishing house and a tour agency for guided tours in Campania.The opening of the official headquarters represents an important milestone for the project that has involved fans of the crime and mystery genre for years. The Casa del Giallo presents itself as a true "post station" for writers, journalists, mystery writers and collectors linked to the mystery genre.
In addition to a well-stocked library dedicated to mystery, noir and thriller, and a showcase with the latest genre publications, the venue will offer an event space for presentations, workshops and dramatized stories. Among the initiatives scheduled, the “unsolved cases” addressed with magistrates, writers and professional detectives, the crime stories, the “mind games” and the investigation and criminology workshops stand out, including the first “Detection School” directed by the magistrate Raffaele Marino.
In the rooms of via Enrico Alvino it will also be possible to admire rare and curious collectibles related to the world of fantasy and take advantage of a “book hunter” service to hunt for the rarest books in the sector. There will also be tours of the most iconic mysterious places in the city and a small section of antiques and restoration of objects related to the genre. The official inauguration of the Casa del Giallo is scheduled for Wednesday 13 November starting at 19 pm.
