A celebration dedicated to Eduardo De Filippo was held at the Maschio Angioino in Naples, as part of the event entitled "The Art of Neapolitan Cuisine: Theatre at the Table." The event highlighted the intersection of art and gastronomy, involving various figures from the Neapolitan cultural and culinary scene.

Organization and Opening

The initiative was promoted by Rosa Praticò and Giuseppe Serroni, presidents of the associations "Officina delle idee" and "Sedili di Napoli." The day began with a welcome address from Teresa Armato, Councilor for Productive Activities and Tourism. Various approaches were adopted to honor the legacy of Eduardo De Filippo, a great interpreter of Neapolitan culture.

Art and Performance

During the event, actress Lidia Ferrara recited the poem "L'ultima speranza," dedicated to UNICEF, while Massimiliano Cimino gave a moving performance, playing Eduardo's voice. Gianluca Masone further enriched the event with poems and texts related to Neapolitan culinary culture, such as "'O Rraù" and "'O Surselaio."

It was a very interesting event and I appreciated the participation of the students and associations. However, I did not understand the importance of theater with cooking.

I really liked the poem 'The Last Hope', but I would have preferred there to have been an explanation as to why it was chosen for the event.

Eduardo De Filippo is a great artist, but the celebration in my opinion did not highlight his impact on modern culture as it should have.
