A cold wave will hit Italy starting Friday, bringing significant snowfall even to the hills. After a temporary respite, marked by some rain in central Italy, the weather will worsen dramatically with the arrival of an Arctic front.
The Adriatic regions and the South will be the most affected, with showers, thunderstorms and strong Bora and Grecale winds. Over the weekend, snow will also appear at relatively low altitudes, around 600 metres in the Centre and 800-900 metres in the South. Temperatures will plummet, with daytime values around 10°C in cities like Rome, Florence and Naples.
The cold wave will continue throughout the weekend, then give way to improved weather conditions starting on Sunday, December 1st.
