He had recently lost his partner and had fallen into a state of deep despair. Yesterday, in via Giulio Cesare in Naples, he attempted to inflict wounds on his arm using a pair of scissors.
Fortunately, Naples local police officers, alerted by a report, intervened promptly, preventing the situation from escalating. Despite their efforts to persuade him to give up, the man did not stop, forcing the officers to disarm him and call paramedics.
Subsequently, he was transported to theSan Paolo hospital to receive the necessary care. The man is now under observation by doctors, who have also notified his family, asking them to stay closer to him and comfort him.
