A violent and long downpour hit both the city of Benevento and the province in the afternoon, where several blackouts were also recorded. About seventy interventions so far by the firefighters of the various detachments throughout the Sannio territory.
In the capital, the greatest damage was caused by strong winds, which in Piazza Risorgimento caused part of the fencing to collapse during the redevelopment of the area, while in the Alfieri district it caused a large tree to fall onto the road, blocking traffic.
Trees and branches on the road also in the Rione Ferrovia and on the Appia state road, in the San Vito district, near a shopping center, where the gusts tore down advertising billboards.
Dozens of interventions by the Fire Brigade also in numerous municipalities in the province of Avellino for the damage caused by strong gusts of wind that reached up to one hundred kilometers per hour.

After the downpour in Benevento, I saw many fallen trees and also large trees that blocked the roads. The firefighters worked hard to restore the situation but there were many blackouts and traffic problems. It is important that citizens follow the warnings of the civil protection to avoid risks.
