Illegal workshops seized in the Spanish Quarters, flurry of fines for traffic violations

The activity of control and repression of irregularities in the capital of Naples continues without stopping. In recent days, the Lawyer Operations Unit, in collaboration with the Carabinieri of the station Spanish Neighborhoods, has placed under criminal seizure a mechanical workshop in via Rosario a Portamedina. The business, operating without any authorization, lacked administrative, health and noise impact certifications.

Irregularities also emerged due to the failure to register with the Chamber of Commerce and the inadequate management of special waste, which was also seized for further analysis. In a parallel operation in via Colonne in Cariati, the police found serious violations in another mechanical workshop, guilty of operating without authorization for the driveway and of illegally occupying public land. In this case too, the violations were sanctioned in accordance with current legislation.

In addition to the interventions on commercial activities, the agents of the Git-Motociclisti department, composed of 11 units and four vehicles, have intensified checks in the Montecalvario, Mercato, Pendino neighborhoods, San Lorenzo and San Carlo all'Arena. During the checks, 31 vehicles were inspected, with three seizures and one administrative detention carried out on site. In addition, 23 vehicles parked illegally were towed away.

The checks led to the notification of 13 violations for irregularities such as driving without insurance, driving without a license, failure to use a protective helmet and lack of inspection. Numerous cases of illegal parking, often causing obstructions to traffic. Another 41 violations, related to illegal parking, were ascertained but not immediately contested due to the absence of the offenders.
