Caivano. A new chapter opens in the complex situation of Parco Verde, the large residential area north of Naples that has long been in the news due to numerous social problems. Today, law enforcement agencies executed a series of seizure orders affecting 240 illegally occupied apartments within the complex.
The operation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of North Naples, targeted those who, without any title, occupied the houses owned by the Municipality of Caivano, taking them away from the community and often avoiding paying the fees.
A housing emergency that clashes with legality
The months-long investigation led to the identification of 419 people involved in the squatting. However, not all the squatters were evicted. Some of them are currently on the regional lists for public housing.
However, for the remaining 36 families involved in the first phase of the eviction, no form of regularization was possible, as they did not meet the required requirements.
