Ercolano. Pasquale Punzo is under investigation for multiple homicide and disaster. According to prosecutor Stella Castaldo of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, who is leading the investigation, coordinated by prosecutors Pierpaolo Filippelli and Simona Di Monte, he is the real culprit in the explosion, even though the property is registered in his 13-year-old daughter's name.
The investigation aims to pinpoint the precise circumstances that led to the explosion. Initial investigations indicate that the gunpowder was handled by Samuel Tafciu, the 18-year-old Albanian youth who was the first to explode, while twins Sara and Aurora Esposito, 26, sealed the canisters, almost all of which were illegal. The explosion may have been caused by the poor quality of the gunpowder.
Investigators are also evaluating the position of Pasquale Punzo's wife.

The story of Pasquale Punzo's house that went viral on social media
Pasquale Punzo was a figure who rose to fame on social media because in recent months, determined to regain possession of a property, he barricaded himself inside the house, preventing access to the tenant, who, according to Punzo, had not paid rent for two years but whom he was unable to evict.
The story, which went viral on social media, was reported live by Pino Grazioli on his channels. After the explosion of the illegal fireworks factory in Ercolano, there were fears that Punzo and his family might be among the missing: phones were turned off, no news, while firefighters continued to excavate the rubble in Contrada Patacca. Only late in the evening did the man appear before the Carabinieri with his lawyer, but he did not make any statements.

This incident is truly tragic, it is not clear how it could have happened. Pasquale Punzo seems like a complicated man and the situation with his 13-year-old daughter is disturbing. I hope that the investigations will shed light on this matter.
