A Long-Term Project
"Seven Works for Mercy" was founded in 2011 by Maria Grazia Leonetti Rodinò, and curated by Mario Codognato. The project aims to renew the organization's mission, reviving the centuries-old tradition of dialogue between art and solidarity, begun with illustrious figures of the past. Artists are invited to create works inspired by mercy, highlighting the organization's commitment to promoting the connection between art and charity.
Educational Activities
In addition to the exhibition, a workshop has been developed in collaboration with the cultural association Spazi Altri ETS, also open to schools. The educational initiative aims to stimulate reflection on the theme of mercy through the works on display. An artem catalog accompanies the 2024 edition, describing the project and featuring contributions from various authors. After more than 420 years, the Pio Monte della Misericordia continues to pursue its goal of community support, leveraging its vast heritage for assistance and charitable activities. Art and solidarity remain at the heart of its mission, in tune with emerging generations.
