Pollica. Stefano Pisani, mayor of Pollica, has commented on the news of the four arrests for the murder of Angelo Vassallo, the "fisherman mayor" of Pollica, killed on September 5, 2010.
"I'm pleased because this measure, compared to the previous entry in the register of suspects, is much more substantial and finally fuels hope that, after so long, we can at least reach a judicial truth, given that they will not return Angelo to us." But reading the names of current or former members of the police force "hurts a lot, more than one can imagine."
Among those arrested is the Carabinieri colonel Fabio Cagnazzo, in addition to the former Brigadier Lazzaro Cioffi.
