A double hit by the Naples Flying Squad led to the seizure of an arsenal and a batch of cocaine. Two people ended up in handcuffs, while a third was reported.
The police, as part of tight controls on the territory, raided two houses, one in Ponticelli and the other in Agnano. In the first case, hidden among the clothes, a 6,35 caliber Beretta pistol, a 7,65 caliber Beretta with the serial number erased and over a hundred bullets were found. The protagonist of the discovery is a 33-year-old with a criminal record, now in prison on charges of illegal possession of weapons and receiving stolen goods.
Cocaine was the main ingredient in the second blitz, carried out by the “Falchi” of the Flying Squad. In a warehouse, shared with his son, the police found two bags containing two pistols, a Beretta 9×21 caliber and a Tanfoglio of the same caliber, the latter having been stolen, over 650 bullets and two kilos of cocaine already ready for dealing. A 65-year-old, already known to the police, was arrested, while his son was reported for the same crimes.
Investigations are still ongoing to trace the origin of the weapons and drugs and to ascertain any links with other criminal activities. The weapons have been sent to the scientific section to ascertain whether they were used in recent bloody events.
