The residence, featuring a fountain decorated with mosaics and shells and evocative frescoes, has undergone structural reinforcements and a roof overhaul to ensure its preservation. These interventions aim to preserve the building's historical integrity and also include waterproofing to protect the ancient structures.

“Telling the Construction Sites” Initiative

The initiative offers a series of weekly visits to visitors, who will be able to explore up to 20 restoration sites through a detailed calendar. Every Thursday, experts such as archaeologists and restorers will accompany participants, providing in-depth explanations of the work in progress and the techniques used for conservation. The visits are reserved for MyPompeii Card holders, with mandatory reservations to be made at least one day in advance.

Visiting Calendar

The visits will be held in limited groups to ensure an optimal and safe experience. The exhibitions include places such as the House of the Atrium, the Insula Meridionalis and the Forum Baths. The interventions are planned in lesser-known but equally significant sites, such as the House of Leda and the Granaries of the Forum, offering a unique perspective on the historical richness of Pompeii. Visitors can choose their preferred route following a calendar that organizes the openings and guided tours over the months. This initiative exemplifies an ongoing commitment to the protection and dissemination of historical heritage, allowing more direct access to the restoration sites and a deeper understanding of the conservation techniques applied.
