A blow to drug traffickers stopped on the highway with a large load of cocaine and crack and hundreds of ecstasy and MDMA pills. Two citizens of Caserta, aged 21 and 28, both with police records for property crimes and possession of weapons, were arrested.
The operation by personnel from the Caserta Nord Highway Police Subsection began the other afternoon on the A30 motorway, near the Nola exit. The driver of the car was traveling at high speed, overtaking other cars on the right.
When checking the car, the officers found 1960 euros in cash, several doses of cocaine and crack and hundreds of pills of ecstasy and MDMA.

Subsequent house searches also led to the discovery of 4 doses of cocaine, packaging material and 4 12-gauge cartridges, illegally held by the 21-year-old who was also reported for illegal possession of ammunition.
The two couriers stopped by order of the PM on duty at the Nola Prosecutor's Office, have been taken to the Poggioreale prison pending the validation hearing. Investigations are now continuing to ascertain their role as couriers and to whom the drug load they were transporting was intended.
