Teacher attacked in Castellammare: school reopens with the presence of the Carabinieri

The Catello Salvati middle school in Scanzano, Castellammare di Stabia, is experiencing hours of tension following the attack on a special education teacher by about thirty parents. The incident, which occurred last Thursday, shocked the community and sparked a flurry of accusations and counter-accusations.

At the heart of the case are alleged sexual harassment of several students, accusations the teacher vehemently denies. Although the Carabinieri investigation has so far uncovered no evidence to support these allegations, the climate of suspicion and hostility toward the teacher is palpable.

The principal has requested the intervention of law enforcement to ensure safety within the school and prevent further incidents of violence. A Carabinieri patrol will be present at the school entrance tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the andStill reeling from the attack, she was forced to leave her job. The families accusing her, however, are threatening to keep their children home from school until she is removed.

Investigations are underway to identify all those responsible for the attack. In the meantime, the community is called to reflect on what happened and to find peace. Meanwhile, the prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, called the mayor of Castellammare, Luigi Vicinanza, promising "prompt intervention to restore calm and ensure the smooth running of educational activities." Inspectors sent by the Regional School Office are also expected to arrive at Salvati tomorrow.
