The attack on a support teacher at the Salvati Comprehensive Institute in Castellammare di Stabia was described as an "episode of criminal violence" by Ettore Acerra, director of the Campania Regional School Office.
Acerra, who ordered the sending of inspectors to the school for investigations, expressed the need to investigate the facts further without overlapping with the investigations of the judicial authorities.
The parents involved in the attack accused the teacher, also through social media, of inappropriate behavior and harassment towards some students.

Acerra claims: "It was a criminal act"
The director pointed out that "lynching a defenseless person is a criminal act." While committed to understanding the possible triggers, he highlighted how misuse of social media could have contributed to the situation, but reiterated the importance of avoiding "do-it-yourself justice".
Acerra also specified that, from the moment of the report to the attack, very little time passed, insufficient for the school to examine the case. "We are convinced that this is an example of the culture of violence, which we must firmly oppose."he concluded.
