Unconvicted Pushers Betrayed by Volla Unrest: Arrested

VOLLA – A traffic stop on Via Filichito resulted in the arrest of two men with no criminal record, stopped by Carabinieri from the Torre del Greco mobile radio unit. The vehicle, a small car driven by a 34-year-old man, slowed immediately after the patrol stopped. He was accompanied by a 36-year-old man, both with no criminal record and unknown to law enforcement.

Seemingly calm, the two men responded politely and presented their documents.

However, their repeated glances at a white bag on the dashboard didn't go unnoticed by the officers. This behavior immediately aroused suspicion among the Carabinieri, who are experts at picking up on every detail, even the subtlest signs of nervousness.

When the soldiers grabbed the bag, they found 97 grams of hashish. Further checks led to the discovery of two more doses of the same substance, hidden under the passenger's floor mat. In addition, thousands of euros in cash were found in the pockets of the two men, presumably the proceeds of drug dealing.

The search then continued at the two suspects' respective homes, where the Carabinieri found more drugs and additional sums of money, totaling over €14. The entire quantity of drugs and the money were seized. The two men were arrested for possession of drugs with intent to sell and are currently in prison, awaiting trial.
