The Carabinieri of the San Sebastiano al Vesuvio Station arrested a 38-year-old local man, accused of robbing a minor. The man ended up in prison by order of the Court of Nola, which accepted the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office. The incident dates back to the night of October 7, when a fifteen-year-old was sitting on a bench in Piazza Belvedere, intent on using his smartphone.
Taking advantage of the boy's distraction, the attacker approached and, with a lightning-fast gesture, snatched the cell phone from his hands and then fled. The young man, determined to recover the phone, chased the robber, resulting in a brief struggle. However, the man grabbed him forcefully and quickly drove away in a car.

The complaint, filed by the boy's mother, started the Carabinieri investigations. The investigators, thanks to the video surveillance images present in the area and the photographic recognition carried out by the victim, were able to identify the perpetrator of the crime. A subsequent search of the suspect's home allowed them to find the clothes that the man was wearing at the time of the robbery, providing further evidence against him. The man was transferred to the Naples District Prison Poggioreale, where it will remain available to the judicial authorities for the next stages of the investigation.
