In the food safety sector, new product recalls have been recorded, according to the Ministry of Health. Three batches of vacuum-packed clams and lupini beans from the "L'acquachiara" brand have been recalled from the market. The affected products, identified as batches A6020, A5962, and A6027, have an incorrect expiration date.
Recall Details
The problem, in fact, is due to a technological glitch that caused the insertion of an incorrect expiration date. Although the packaging states December 28, 2024, the actual expiration date is December 2, 2024. The Ministry has invited consumers not to use these products and to return them to the points of purchase.
The identification of the products comes from the IT560 CSM CE plant, located in Chioggia, in the province of Venice, to which this incorrect production is attributed. The problem has been traced back to a defect in the software that manages the product information.
Other food recalls
On the same day, other reports involved several products of the Conad brand. Among these, there are three batches of organic RISO cereal cream for children and a batch of capricciosa salad, the latter produced by the company Santori & Schillirò. In addition, all batches of Puzzone di Moena cheese were recalled for "possible presence of Escherichia Coli", originating from the Caseificio Sociale di Predazzo e Moena.
These measures follow the alert issued a few days ago regarding Luganega sausage, due to the “possible presence of salmonella spp”. The recalls signal a growing focus on food safety, to ensure protection and transparency for consumers.
