An episode of domestic violence has shocked the quiet town of San Nicola la Strada. A 20-year-old man was arrested after attacking and threatening to kill his grandmother.
The incident occurred late yesterday afternoon, when the 70-year-old woman, frightened by her nephew's aggressive behavior, decided to leave her home and seek help from the police. The elderly woman told investigators that she had been beaten and threatened for trivial reasons, and that her belongings had been damaged.
Despite the immediate intervention of the military, the young man had managed to disappear.
