Carabinieri officers from the Stella Company conducted a large-scale patrol in Scampia and the Mercato, San Lorenzo, and San Pietro a Patierno neighborhoods, along with their colleagues from the Campania Regiment and local health authority personnel.
In Scampia, 66-year-old Giuseppe Coppola and his son, 45-year-old Francesco, were arrested. Both are from the Don Guanella neighborhood and are already known to law enforcement. The two were stopped in a car and found in possession of 16 packages containing cobret.
The search was extended to the two men's home, where another 96 doses of cobret, a 50-gram block of hashish, several sticks of the same substance, and two bottles of methadone were found.

A precision scale and €700 were also found. The Carabinieri also raided Via Eugenio Montale, where they intervened at the "Case dei Puffi" housing complex. When officers entered a parking lot, some young people who were there fled.
An 8-caliber blank-firing pistol was seized in a cavity. Meanwhile, checks were conducted at commercial businesses in San Pietro a Patierno, where Carabinieri seized 400 kilos of food from a bakery. The business was suspended.
A 24-year-old from San Lorenzo and a 39-year-old from the Mercato neighborhood were reported for evading traffic. Traffic checks also conducted, during which 34 vehicles were checked and a man was cited for driving without a license, a repeat offender within the past two years. Finally, yet another illegal parking attendant was reported.
