A thorough investigation conducted by the Cyber Security Operations Section of Salerno, coordinated by the National Center for the Fight against Online Child Pornography, has led to the dismantling of a dangerous paedophilia network that operated nationwide.
The operation, launched following an anonymous tip, led to the identification and arrest of two men, residents of Milan, accused of aggravated sexual assault and production and possession of child pornography.

The investigations, which lasted several months, revealed a very specific modus operandi: those arrested, taking advantage of the anonymity offered by the Internet, lured minors through popular instant messaging apps, establishing relationships of trust with them and then inducing them to perform explicit sexual acts, filming them with their smartphones.
The material produced was then shared within a network of pedophiles, thus spreading inestimable damage to the victims. The investigations also revealed the continuous pressure exerted by one of the suspects to have face-to-face meetings with the child, which led to his remand in prison.
Investigations into two other alleged paedophiles living in Turin and Foggia
The investigations have thus brought to light conduct involving enticement and possession of material child pornography also of two other men – one resident in the province of Turin and the other in the province of Foggia – on whom further investigative investigations are underway.
