Operation to combat illegality spread by those who travel on two wheels according to the directives of the Prefect of Naples, Michele Di Bari, after a discussion with the Mayor of Naples on the strategy to combat youth violence. Checks also carried out at night and in the areas most frequented by young people.
The violations detected amount to 52, mainly for driving without a license, lack of insurance, expired MOT, and reckless behavior such as using a cell phone while driving or not wearing a helmet.
During these operations, the financial police also proceeded with the administrative seizure of 16 scooters. The checks carried out by the financial police of the PI Group and the I Napoli Group resulted in three reports to the Judicial Authority for as many repeat offenders in driving without a license.
108 insurance fines issued
108 administrative fines were also issued against drivers of motor vehicles, with 6 vehicles seized.
Since the beginning of the year, as part of the economic control activities of the territory, the Departments of the Provincial Command of Naples have issued over 3.200 fines to the Highway Code, of which more than 2.800 have already been paid, generating revenues for the Treasury exceeding 450.000 euros.
