The employment crisis involving Trasnova Srl, a logistics company with a strategic contract at the Stellantis “Giambattista Vico” plant in Pomigliano d'Arco, has reached a critical point. The lack of clarity on the renewal of the contract with Stellantis puts the future of 60 workers at risk, creating growing tension at both the corporate and social levels.
According to what was reported jointly by the Fiom and Fismic unions, Trasnova is in a situation of great uncertainty. The order with Stellantis, which is the heart of the company's operations, will expire in the coming days. Despite repeated requests for a meeting, Stellantis has not provided assurances regarding the renewal, prompting workers to activate the state of agitation.
Tensions erupted on November 5, with an eight-hour strike per shift. Only then did Stellantis agree to participate in a telematic meeting, but, as denounced by the unions, the car company ignored the crucial issue of the renewal of the order, complaining instead about the workers' protests.
The risk of escalation
The situation risks degenerating further.

The intervention of the Prefecture
In response to this impasse, the unions have requested direct intervention from the Prefecture of Naples. The goal is to convene Stellantis and Trasnova for a transparent and decisive discussion. A meeting has been scheduled for November 25 at the Prefecture, with the hope of finding a solution that can safeguard jobs and prevent further social tensions.
An uncertain future
This dispute is a clear example of the difficulties that many companies and workers must face in a sector, that of logistics, already subjected to increasing pressure. The lack of dialogue on the part of Stellantis not only puts jobs at risk, but raises questions about the social responsibility of large companies towards the territory in which they operate.
The community and institutions are called to make a common front to guarantee respect for workers' rights and preserve the economic and social stability of the area. The meeting of November 25 will be a decisive test for the future of Trasnova and for the fate of 60 families of Pomigliano d'Arco.
